Remediation and Land Quality Management

CONTROLLED WATERS DETAILED QUANTITATIVE RISK ASSESSMENT (DQRA)

BWB offer the capacity to assess the risks posed to controlled waters receptors based on the Environment Agency published fate and transport models. These models take the generic quantitative assessment undertaken within the Phase 2 investigation a stage further and assess the risks posed by an identified contaminant to specific receptors using site specific data. This therefore allows for a more realistic and less conservative assessment of the risks posed and enables the deriviation of targets for remediation.

REMEDIATION OPTIONS APPRAISAL

Once the requirement for remediation works has been determined, BWB have wide and varied experience in compiling remediation options appraisals for sites of varying scale and contaminative status, including cost benefit analysis. In completing the Remediation Options Appraisal BWB will consider all commercially available remediation approaches both in terms of the technical applicability as well as viability with regard to the ground model and parameters for the proposed development.

DESIGN, TENDER, SUPERVISION & VALIDATION OF REMEDIATION

BWB offer the experience and technical capability to undertake remediation design and also facilitate, manage and co-ordinate the tendering process for specialist remediation works. BWB can provide part time or full time site supervision during remediation works, including full regulatory liaison, and can provide an independent validation process which is often critical for achieving regulator agreement for such works. BWB can support a range of project scales from small housing developments to large commercial/industrial schemes.
