Never mind the winter weather, is it adverse headlines that the development industry needs to be aware of?

Environmental engineer Matt Stokes suggests regular flooding means it may need to prepare for a new legislative climate.

Matt was recently invited to talk alongside representatives from the United Nations and other organisations at the World Symposium on Climate Change Adaptation to put the spotlight on best practice in terms of global climate resilience. The panel looked at urban development and rural land practices and confronted a stark reality that simply developing new sources of water will not be enough to sustain communities in some parts of the world.

Five BWB runners complete Royal Parks Half Marathon

A team of five BWB employees completed London’s Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on Sunday 11th October. Tasha Scott, Jenny Chapman, Josh Dickerson, Alessandro Casson and Magda Jachym ran the 13.1 miles through the capital’s world-famous landmarks, on a beautifully sunny, clear and crisp autumnal morning.

BWB GROUP CEO COMPETES FOR INTERNATIONAL AWARD

BWB's Group boss will take on business leaders from across Europe in a competition to find the best chief executive in the consultancy and engineering industries.

Steve Wooler, who led the buy-out of BWB in 2008, has been selected as a finalist in the European CEO of the Year Awards 2015 run by the Association for Consultancy & Engineering (ACE).

Now in their fifth year, the awards put the spotlight on senior industry figures from across Europe who are regarded as outstanding leaders whose businesses demonstrate best practice in engineering and consulting.
